Description
This Belgian-made Browning SA-22 is a beautifully preserved takedown rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Designed by John M. Browning, the SA-22 combines a slim, lightweight profile with a convenient takedown design that allows the barrel and receiver assembly to separate for compact transportation or storage. The design also ejects spent cases through the bottom of the receiver, making it comfortable for both right- and left-handed shooters.
This example features a strong polished blue finish, factory-style scroll engraving, checkered walnut furniture and a grooved forearm. The stock includes the characteristic loading port through the buttstock, while the rifle retains its traditional iron sights and tubular magazine system. Markings confirm manufacture in Belgium and chambering for .22 Long Rifle.
The rifle appears to be in excellent overall condition, with attractive wood grain, crisp checkering and only limited visible handling wear. Its Belgian manufacture, classic styling and strong cosmetic condition make it especially appealing for collectors, small-game hunters and enthusiasts looking for a refined rimfire rifle.
