Description

This Smith & Wesson Model 64-3 is a classic stainless-steel K-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special. It features a 4-inch heavy barrel, fixed sights, six-round cylinder and traditional double-action/single-action operation. The Model 64 is the stainless counterpart to Smith & Wesson’s long-running Model 10 and was widely associated with law-enforcement, security and general-purpose service use.

This example is fitted with a black rubber finger-groove grip that provides a larger, more cushioned gripping surface than the original service-style stocks. Its fixed-sight configuration consists of an integral rear notch and a serrated front blade. The 64-3 engineering revision was introduced in 1977, with later examples transitioning away from pinned barrels during the early 1980s.

The revolver is in fair used condition. The stainless finish shows scratches, discoloration, scattered oxidation and areas of surface pitting, particularly around the barrel, frame and cylinder. The black rubber grip also shows handling wear. Serial number AJB1281 is visible on the attached inventory tag.
